Activism is necessary Jackal and Lion stories

     Activism is  necessary

Once upon a time, a thorn pricked the leg of a lion in the forest. There was a wound in the paw and it became impossible for the lion to run. He limped and walked with difficulty. For a lion, it is necessary to run to hunt. Therefore, he could not hunt for many days and started dying of hunger. It is said that a lion does not eat a dead animal, but everything has to be done under compulsion. The lame lion started wandering in the forest in search of some injured or dead animal. Here too luck did not favor him. Nothing was found anywhere. Slowly, dragging his feet, he reached near a cave. The cave was deep and narrow, just like the dens of wild animals. He looked inside the den; the den was empty, but everywhere he saw evidence that animals had settled in it. At that time the animal had probably gone out in search of food. The lion crouched silently so that if the animal living in it returned, he could catch it.

Actually, there lived a jackal in that cave, who used to roam outside during the day and return at night. That day also he returned after sunset. The jackal was very clever. Was alert all the time. When he saw the footprints of a big animal outside his cave, he was shocked and suspected that some predatory creature might be waiting in ambush in the den for its prey. To confirm his suspicion, he made a deliberate move. Moving away from the mouth of the cave he called out “Cave! O cave.”

There was silence in the cave and he again called out, “Oh cave, why don’t you speak?”

The lion was sitting peacefully inside. My stomach was churning due to hunger. He was just waiting for the jackal to come inside and take him to his stomach. That's why he was also getting impatient. The jackal once again said loudly, “Oh cave! Every day you call me inside in response to my call. Why are you silent today? I have already said that the day you do not call me, I will go to some other cave. Okay, so I am leaving.”

The lion was shocked to hear this. He thought that perhaps the cave might actually invite the jackal inside. Thinking that the jackal might really go away, he changed his voice and said, “Jackal King, don't go, come inside. I was waiting for you for so long.”

The jackal recognized the lion's voice and went away laughing at his foolishness and never came back. The foolish lion died of hunger and thirst in the same cave.
